InDesign by Adobe® offers some of the best pdf tools built right into the application. Adobe Acrobat has just the tools you need to create and deliver PDF files. Other applications have pdf plug-ins available. If you own a version of Distiller on it's own you can distill eps files from most applications using this utility. This is known as Four-Color Process Printing. 1. 4/0 - four colored inks are applied to one side of the card, and none are applied to the back. 2. 4/1 - four colored inks are applied to one side of the card, and one color is applied to the reverse. 3. 4/4 - In this case, four colors of ink are applied to each side of the card. Printing in a lower DPI will prevent you from obtaining the highest quality print. Low resolution documents will not give you the consistent color, detail, and effect you deserve. If it is absolutely impossible to obtain a high-resolution image, please consult with our prepress department on ways to creatively use your photo or possibly enhance the quality. [top] A Line Screen is the measure of how many halftone lines are printed in a linear inch. The value is expressed as Lines Per Inch (LPI).
